Llama

In this 180-day project youth will learn how to take care of llamas and alpacas. Beginner llama members will learn how to halter, lead, show, and maneuver their animals around a variety of obstacles. More advanced llama members may move on to packing with llamas or training them to pull a cart. There is also a project option for members who would like to raise llamas or alpacas and shear them to collect the fiber.
